Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the counsel to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has filed a motion with the Federal High Court, asking it to order the Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai to state where his client is being held.
Ejiofor revealed this to Cable, saying the IPOB leader was last seen on September 14.
Members of the secessionist group had accused the Nigerian Military of abducting their leader.
The Nigerian Military had reportedly stormed Nnamdi Kanu’s home and shot at members of his group.
Although there were reports that Kanu had gone into hiding, members of his group had said the army had abducted him.
The Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed on Tuesday told AFP that the IPOB leader was in hiding, and not in the custody of the Federal Government.
